The Afghanistan Agriculture & Education Development Organization (AAEDO) is proud to announce the successful completion of the "Just Future: Capacity Strengthening & Financial Support for Local NGOs/CSOs" project in Nangarhar province. Funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented with Search for Common Ground, this initiative has empowered vulnerable women by providing the skills and resources to build sustainable livelihoods through small-scale poultry farming.
The "Just Future" project directly supported 20 women in Nangarhar, offering:
- Comprehensive Training: Hands-on workshops on poultry management techniques.
- Essential Resources: Complete poultry kits, including chickens, feed, and necessary equipment.
- Market Linkages: Connections to local suppliers and buyers to ensure sustainable income generation.
"After receiving the poultry pullets and related kits and technical training by AAEDO, we started our backyard poultry farming, and we are able to support our family economically," say participants in the "Just Future" project.
AAEDO is dedicated to creating lasting positive change in Afghanistan. The 'Just Future' project exemplifies its commitment to empowering women, strengthening communities, and building a more sustainable future in the country.
